Colorado Springs Utilities Department Facilities Master Plan

Colorado Springs, CO

Maintenance Design Group provided a review of the program, conceptual design, and design for expansion of the Colorado Springs Utilities Department facilities. The review involved operations and expansion at two sites, Lyon Young and Pinkerton Service Centers. The facilities included workshops, vehicle maintenance, warehouse, and yard storage. The facilities provide services for 1,900 vehicles and equipment and include two fuel islands and the relocation of a CNG fueling center.

The project continued into Contract Documents phase for expansion of the facilities at the two existing work centers. These facilities included new gas, water, and electric meter shops, heated vehicle storage, a new warehouse, and office and site remodel to handle the consolidation of field services.
