Gillette-Campbell County Airport Rescue Fire Fighting/Snow Removal Facility

Gillette, Wyoming

Gillette-Campbell County Airport’s new runway maintenance equipment was too large to fit into their existing building adjacent to the taxiway. Maintenance Design Group provided planning and design for the Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting unit/Snow Removal Equipment storage facility. The facility also includes a maintenance shop, facility maintenance storage, and sleeping quarters for emergency response personnel.

The facility is within full view of the terminal and had a tight budget. Visibility and utility were balanced to deliver the project within budget. Work included site selection and providing both air side and land side access.

Project Highlights
• Oversized rapid response overhead doors.
• Sleeping facilities.
• Hazardous material storage room.
