Olympic College Plant Services Building
Olympic College intended to redevelop and improve the facilities associated with its Physical Plant, Central Receiving, Mail/Duplicating Services and Information Technology Repair and Infrastructure departments and divisions as part of an overall plan to improve facilities and service to students. Following property acquisition, work began to plan a new Plant Services Building. The objective of the project was to design a facility for the College that would be functional, efficient, and secure, that fit the overall College Master Plan, and anchored the south end of the campus.
As part of the planning team, Maintenance Design Group provided comprehensive planning and design services for this initial master planning effort as well as future design phases. Planning constraints included numerous existing structures, limited availability of adjoining properties, topography, and limited street access. The new facilities were designed for the maximum site utilization. Special attention was paid to the surrounding residential neighborhood as well as providing a customer-friendly appearance to the campus staff and faculty.
• Careful consideration for surrounding neighborhood.
• Provided an anchor for the south end of the campus.
