Town of Windsor Public Works and Parks and Open Space Facility

Windsor, Colorado

Having outgrown their current facility, the Town of Windsor enlisted the help of Infusion Architects, along with MDG, to design a new facility.

MDG evaluated the functional requirements, meeting with Town of Windsor stakeholders, facility employees, and Design Team members. These meetings helped ensure the design met the needs of all stakeholders, both now and into the future. MDG and the Team also designed the new facility to be a good neighbor to the surrounding community, providing options through design that shield the nearby neighborhoods and streets from facility operations.

The initial build will allow substantial space for future facility growth through 2035.

Project Highlights:

  • The site was a unique triangular plot of land located near the railroad tracks, which took careful planning and design to accommodate.
  • Located near residences and town streets, the design needed to ensure neighbors were not inconvenienced by the activities or noise on the site.
