Umpqua Community College Regional Industrial Arts & Technology Training Center
Umpqua Community College’s Industrial Arts & Technology departments have outgrown their facilities. The new Industrial Arts and Technology Training Center (IATTC) facility will be designed to accommodate an Automotive Lab, Welding Lab, Machine Lab, Construction Technology Lab, classrooms, locker facilities, and offices for the students and staff.
Automotive Technology will have 20 auto bays and an interactive classroom to teach students, and is supported by Toyota’s T-Ten program for training students. The Welding program will have a lab with dedicated welding booths to accommodate a class of 25 students. The facility will also have second-floor classrooms and viewing platforms for tour groups that can look out into the lab areas to view teaching processes.
Maintenance Design Group assisted the design team in the development of the space needs program, site master plan, and functional facility design for the new IATTC facility.
