Marysville School District Joint Transportation Center
The Marysville School District was working in facilities that were designed for a much smaller bus fleet. The fleet has grown to 101 buses and is expected to grow to 130 buses over the next 30 years. The District had a unique opportunity to obtain funding for a joint use transportation facility, through the State of Washington, if it constructed facilities that could share uses between school districts.
The new Joint Transportation Facility not only provides for the long-term needs for the Marysville School District to house, operate and maintain their buses and the district motor pool, but it also provides heavy maintenance, fueling and washing for nearby Lakewood School District.
